The total consecutive period for which a student may have suspended student status cannot exceed two semesters. The Doctoral Committee of Medical Sciences may, at the request of the student, approve a longer suspension of the student status than two semesters, provided that the student is unable to satisfy their academic obligations due to giving birth, suffering an accident or illness, or some other unexpected reason beyond their control. The total combined length of the suspension of the student status during the doctoral education cannot exceed six semesters. The student status can only be suspended for the entire semester. No stipend from state scholarship may be paid during the suspension of the student status.
