As courses can only be announced upon the approval of the competent doctoral school, instructors are kindly requested to submit the completed form to the secretary of the doctoral school.
In line with the Doctoral Regulations of the University of Debrecen, Students in bachelor’s, master’s or undivided programmes may also register for courses offered for doctoral students, with the approval of the instructor; however, no PhD credits can be obtained for completing courses offered for students in bachelor’s, master’s or undivided programmes
*Credit points explained: ONLY courses with credits points of integer value can be announced. One credit can be earned by doing 30 hours of work.
Hours of work = contact hours + hours spent on preparation (the latter is calculated to equal ~100-140% of contact hours).
(E.g. 1 credits requires at least 12-13 contact hours, which means approximately 30 hours of work.)
The completion of the courses is certified by the instructor assessing the student on a five-grade scale and giving an examination grade. The grade should be recorded in the Neptun system by the end of the given semester. (A credit can only be assigned to a course that is evaluated on a five-grade scale.)
Similarly, the completion of the course entitled Research is certified by the instructor assessing the student on a five-grade scale and giving a practical course grade.
Subjects/courses are centrally registered into the Neptun system. Instructors enter the system using their own Neptun code, and will record the grades and confirm the obtainment of credits themselves.
In order to register and announce a course in the Neptun system a form should be completed first.
